Gastric Clip

No need to cut and remove the stomach

✔     No need to be sewn because it is not cut

✔     No risk of leakage, which is the most life-threatening risk in surgery

✔     No need to change the anatomy of the stomach and small intestine

✔     Has a permanent slimming effect, no repetitive weight gain

✔     Natural stomach fluids are preserved and there is no reflux (water coming into the mouth and burning) complaints

✔     No hospitalization (max 1 night)

✔     Return to normal life at the earliest time (3-5 days)

✔     Can be applied to adolescents and elderly

✔     A recyclable procedure; the possibility to apply other surgical methods if necessary

In addition to having obesity, Gastric Clip can also be applied in the following cases:

  • Gastroesophageal reflux
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • History of certain types of cancer
  • Patients in the transplant protocol
  • Patients with any disease that cannot be incised

The surgeon carefully places the Gastric Clip around the stomach to close a large part of the stomach and measures the capacity of the remaining stomach using a calibration tube.

The Gastric Clip is then sutured to the stomach wall to prevent it from sliding and to maintain limited stomach capacity.

The stomach is divided into two parts: one is the part that has food restriction, and the other is the part that allows the passage of excluded natural stomach fluids. By ensuring that less nutrients enter the restricted stomach, satiety is felt much faster, so that the slimming process begins effectively.

The special design of the Gastric Clip puts less pressure on the lower stomach. This ‘low pressure zone’ prevents food from passing into the excluded portion; but it allows liquids to pass into the excluded part and thus prevents acid backflow.

Gastric Clip is a clip-shaped medical device that is placed vertically around the stomach. This creates a narrow vertical section that isolates the rest of the stomach. This new small vertical stomach reduces the amount of food the stomach can hold and makes the person feel “full” much more quickly, which minimizes food intake and naturally helps to significantly reduce weight.

The Gastric Clip is held in the stomach wall with just a few stitches. There is no cutting, stapling or removal of any part of the stomach, so it does not contain the risk of leakage, which is the most vital risk that can be experienced after sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass procedures, but it is possible to achieve the same slimming results. Even if the success of slimming is achieved with sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass methods, the continuation of the patient’s old eating habits afterwards can lead to the re-expansion of the stomach and regain weight, and the presence of Gastric Clip there prevents weight gain again. In this respect, it can lead to a more permanent weakening process.

The Gastric Clip is made of an inner titanium skeleton coated with medical-grade silicone. The titanium inner layer adds rigidity, while the outer silicone layer provides a smooth and flexible surface for extra comfort.

The Gastric Clip can be removed and placed in an outpatient center. Gastric Clip does not require adjustment to be successful, and there are no attachment points that need to be placed under the skin.

The Gastric Clip is implanted using minimally invasive surgery that takes about an hour or less. Most patients normally go home on the day of the procedure and can return to work within 3-5 days.

Gastric Clip is a restrictive and recyclable procedure. In other surgical methods, it is the most innovative method that offers the opportunity to lose weight with sleeve gastrectomy without taking the risks of leakage and reflux complications that may occur after the operation.
